Thank You for an Amazing Earth Month!

Thank You for an Amazing Earth Month!

As we head into the season of garlic mustard pulls and wildflower hikes, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an amazing Earth Month—and to say thank you. We’re so grateful to everyone who supported our work, visited us at events, or joined us in celebrating the planet.

Over the past month, we had the chance to connect with more than 1,300 people at events like the Detroit Zoo Greenfest, Oakland County Earth Day, and the Goodells Earth Fair. These conversations matter. It’s easy to take clean water, fresh air, and access to nature for granted—but every day, we are working to protect and steward the lands that make those things possible. Together, we’re ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same natural spaces we value today.

We’d also like to give a special shoutout to everyone who joined our Earth Day Celebration. It was a joy to gather with our members at Paint Creek Cider Mill, share some treats, and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts. From there, we headed out for a guided hike at Bear Creek Nature Park, where we steward our 40-acre conservation easement. Through ongoing partnership with Oakland Township Parks, we’ve been restoring prairie habitat and removing invasive species—we even had the opportunity to view a burn that had been done earlier that day!

If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry—more events are on the way, and we’d love to see you at the next one!

Thank you all for showing up to protect the beautiful places that make where we live special! We couldn’t do the work that we do without the support and passion of people like you!
