Join Six Rivers at the Blue Heron Environmental Area Conservation Easement for a garlic mustard pull! Garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata) and dame’s rocket (Hesperis matronalis) spread aggressively through natural areas, pushing out the native plants that wildlife need. We need your help to remove these invasive plants from our natural areas! Pulls will be postponed or cancelled if steady rain or thunderstorms. It’s fun, easy work, and we provide tools and refreshments. Outdoor clothing and sturdy and waterproof footwear are recommended. Call or email Ian Ableson, Stewardship Technician, at 248.601.2816 or iableson@sixriversrlc.org to sign up for this event or with questions.
Blue Heron Environmental Area is a large natural area located northwest of the intersection of Rochester Road and Deer Point Drive. We will meet at the semicircular drive north of the intersection off of Rochester Road.
