Be a part of the Six Rivers Stew Crew by volunteering for our Stewardship Woody Workday and Riverside Clean-up at Nicholson Nature Center in partnership with Clinton River Watershed Council and Lake St. Clair CISMA. Fall is the best time to cut and treat woody invasives. You’ll learn how to identify woody invasives and using loppers and/or hand saws cut them while one of our certified staff treats the stump. At this event, you can also participate in cleaning up the Clinton River!
Invasive species spread aggressively through natural areas, pushing out the native plants that wildlife need. We need your help to remove these invasive plants from our natural areas! StewDays will be postponed or cancelled if steady rain or thunderstorms are present. It’s fun and easy, and we provide tools and refreshments. Sturdy waterproof footwear recommended.
